Intuition is defined as “the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.” Scientists have found, time and time again, that information can register on the human brain without our conscious awareness. Meaning, our bodies know what’s up. Our bodies know more than we do! So why don’t we trust ourselves? Why do we let our thoughts get in the way of what our bodies are telling us is right? Why do we let other people’s thoughts get in the way of what’s right for us?

We live in a society that thrives on us second-guessing ourselves. While the widespread knowledge of health and wellness has initiated positive changes, the surplus of contradicting information and purchasing options has left us overwhelmed and confused. From every angle we’re being told what we should look like, what we should eat, what’s missing from our skincare routine, what’s healthy and what isn’t. It never stops. It feels like we’re always wrong, always missing something, always needing to do more (and buy more) to be better. Our confidence is low and our anxiety is high. We’re so disconnected from ourselves.

Tuning out all of the noise and listening in to your own intuition is hard, it requires practice, patience, and a whole lot of self-love. The most important thing to remember is that you are perfect the way that you are, and you are capable of growth while loving yourself. The more you put trust and faith in yourself, the happier you will be. Everything you need to succeed and live your best life is inside of you.

Ok, sounds great… now what?

We’re here to help! We’ve found that Astrology and Yoga are two of the best practices for developing your intuition. Astrology allows you a detailed understanding of yourself and the way you experience life. The realizations and a-ha moments it provides are invaluable. Using Yoga to set intentions and feel the astrological changes in your body is incredibly grounding. Our AstroFlow practice allows you to feel that spiritual, mental, and physical connection that ultimately strengthens your intuition. Here are some things you can do to get started!

  1. Intention Setting

Spend some time journaling about your ideal life. What does your ideal everyday life look like? What traits do you admire most in others? Who do you want to be? What’s holding you back? Answering these questions for yourself will bring clarity to what changes need to be made. When you know where you want to go, you can make goals and set intentions to get there.

2. Learn about yourself with astrology

Getting your chart done is one of the most amazing things you can do for yourself. Truly. It’s transformational to have all of your intricate personality traits put into words. Your chart will show you that you don’t have to be defined by a narrow set of traits; you are contradictory, complex, and unique. It will bring you confidence and remind you who you are. There’s something about reading about your own personality that allows self-forgiveness and compassion. The biggest thing it will do is show you where you can grow. We’re always receiving energy from the universe, but if we don’t know how to harness it, it’s going to waste!

3. Take everything you’ve learned and apply it to your Yoga practice

Setting intentions and learning about yourself is exciting and overwhelming. This is where your yoga practice comes in. Yoga allows you to feel intentions and astrological changes in your body. It slows you down, focuses your mind, and opens your heart to receive energy. Align your astrological chart with an astrological event and form an intention for your practice. When your mind and body are focused on your intention, you will start to manifest results! Our app provides you with specific yoga sequences to practice based on astrological events or your personal chart placements!

4. Journal

As you’re working on intention setting, self exploration, and your physical yoga practice, take note of everything you’re experiencing. How do you feel? What have you learned about yourself? Tracking how you’re feeling during each astrological event/change can help you understand patterns in your life! I know I always feel down when the moon is in Cancer, so instead of fighting against that, I make time for self-care during that transit. 5. Practice Patience and Self-Care

Change doesn’t happen overnight. This is a daily practice to help you listen to your gut instincts and intuition. It requires effort and patience. Don’t beat yourself up if you feel lost or allow other people’s opinions to sneak in. Growth is beautiful not just for the end result, but also for the process.
